It has been adapted from Isaiah 55. This is a beautiful invitation from our God and Father to come to Him. To come and be delighted. To come and taste “rich food”. To come …”so your soul may live”
Very interesting though, Isaiah writes:
1.“Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price. (ESV)
Notice “BUY” and “without a price”.What those two words means…
Regarding the PRICE:
Isaiah 55:3
5But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed. (ESV)
Without a price means: IT is been paid for you…. How much did it cost? It cost, The life of the Lamb of God, our Lord Jesus Christ. We could never afford what Christ’s Sacrifice was able to do for our lives.
And regarding BUY:
1 Peter 2:24
24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Beloved,
God is giving us forgiveness and redemption. He is inviting us to come to Him. His grace and compassion are visible in all of His actions toward us. John 1:16 “ And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”
He has provided, not only the “rich food” but the means by which we can procure salvation; which is by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. That is the Gospel, which by the way, is not cheap. It is costly.

God has provided
Compassion and grace
Come be delighted

procured by God’s Son.
